Motherease Rikki wraps are velcro fastening wraps in 4 different sizes, from Canadian company Motherease. The Rikki wrap is velcro fastening whereas the Airflow is popper, it also has flaps which will hold a prefold or terry folded into an oblong. Just as reliable on fabric waterproofness and durability as the Motherease Air Flow. Our Tips — xsmall and small wraps will fit the same size baby however the xsmall is cut from less cloth. Buy xsmall if you are using with newborn nappies or prefolds and want a trim fit, buy the small if you are using with regular size 1 or onesize nappies. Both are great either way! Remember you only need 1 wrap per every 3 to 5 nappies as you can use a wrap again without washing if it is not soiled. The velcro must be shut off during the wash, the Rikki does not have washing tabs so a good idea is to close the velcro tabs like you were doing up the wrap and then turn the wrap inside out to wash. Can be tumble dried on low heat but hang drying will increase longevity.

XS lbs trim fit Sml lbs Med lbs Care of Motherease Wraps The binding on the Motherease wraps are the reason they are so fabulously waterproof so it's important to treat the binding with respect and make sure it can't get caught on velcro etc in the wash. When washing your Motherease wraps place them in a mesh washing bag separate from anything that could catch on the binding like Velcro to keep them in excellent and reliable condition. Motherease have very specific washing detergent requirements please read our washing page so you're aware of the requirements. This usually means that the wraps have to be washed separately to your nappies. The Rikki is suitable over most shaped nappies and will also hold pad folded prefolds or terries in place, for an average- to well-built child. Just as reliable on fabric waterproofness and durability as the Motherease Air Flow, this wrap is washable at 60 and can be tumble dried although we would suggest all wraps are best air dried, to maintain performance longer. The only thing I would say is that any Velcro wrap looks more worn at the loop Velcro after time, although the performance is not affected. It is important to do the wings up before each wash, so the Velcro does not catch on other things.
